Our visit to the Dinosaur Park in Truganina

The new Dinosaur Park in Truganina features a huge T-rex head statue, rope climbs, picnic/ BBQ areas, and a massive 20-meter high obstacle climbing structure that adventurous dinosaur-loving kiddos will surely enjoy.

There are some new dinosaurs in town. And they lay their new territory in Stockland’s Grandview estate in Truganina. It can be accessed via the Greigs Road which is a boundary between the Rockbank and Truganina suburbs. The Grandview sales office is visible from Greigs Road and you can make your way through which leads you to Dinosaur Park going straight.

Within the Grandview estate, the new park lies on a one-hectare of land at Altezze Drive, between Healey Drive and Bratan Way.

The Dinosaur Park opened early 2021 and has been a wonderful addition to the kids’ attractions in the west side of Melbourne. The park features :

  • covered picnic area with barbecue facilities and a drinking fountain
  • matrix rope climber
  • flying fox
  • dinosaur-themed slides
  • seesaws
  • swings

The 3-meter high Dinosaur slide features two slides right behind it, perfect for little tots learning to slide.

The massive tower features obstacle ropes for your little adventurous kiddos. Right in front of it is the matrix climber.

Fossil excavation pits, flying fox, and covered picnic shelters. Perfect for that weekend or after-school family outings!

The new Dinosaur Park in Truganina gives the West a boost of new fun attractions for kids. Surrounded with nature, the park gives a wonderful prehistoric tribute to the nearby Mt Atkinson Reserve which is a home to a dormant volcano.
